Surprise! Boxycharm is back! I was having some issues with my other subscription box, and Boxy had a great promo item (which didn’t come in this box but it’ll be in the mail soon). This month’s box was worth $143.50, meaning the slight price increase they had over the past couple of months was very very worthwhile.
Without further ado, check out this month’s products!
Rituals – The Ritual of Sakura Foaming Shower Gel – $9.50
This shower gel reminds me of traditional gel shaving cream. Except it smells like cherry blossoms. I really like the scent, but the gel itself is a bit weird. I either use too much or not enough. I’m a loofa person and this doesn’t always behave with a loofa. While I’ll definitely finish it off, I probably won’t repurchase it.
Storybook Cosmetics Fairy Tales Little Briar Rose palette – $55
This was the gem of the box for me. I never dreamed of owning one of Storybook Cosmetics’ beautiful book palettes. Obviously, the best part of these is the packaging. If minimalist packaging is your thing, Storybook Cosmetics is not the brand for you. It’s thick, like a book, but the box part isn’t actually used for anything. A forgivable thing in my opinion: the art is gorgeous, detailed illumination style painting. The shadows are gorgeous and pigmented, with a fairly unique spread of pink and blue in this particular palette Loving the shimmers, loving the mattes, loving the palette.
Fresh Beauty Soy Face Cleanser – $38
If you don’t like cucumber, this is not the cleanser for you. It’s a very liquidy gel that smells strongly of cucumber. It’s an excellent cleanser, gets everything off and is super gentle as well. Overall I do actually like it, I just don’t think it’s worth almost $40 when I like a few less expensive ones better. I’m glad I got to try it though, I was in need of a new cleanser that wouldn’t clog my pores up!
Kat Von D Dagger Tattoo Liner – $20
I’ve heard a lot of good about this eyeliner. It’s a really great formula and this stuff does not budge when you use it. It’s super dark black and has a very fine brush tip to draw a good wing. I was really impressed with it overall, but I think I’d like it better if I hadn’t found a similar liner for less than half the price at the drugstore.
Too Faced Melted Matte Liquid Lipstick in Suck It – $21
I wanted to like this so badly. The color is stunning, and I love the way the color sits on my lips. However, it bleeds. Badly. I can forgive bad wear on a lipstick but color bleed is an issue. The hope is that it’s just the color, so I may try another color just to see if it’s shade related but I don’t have high hopes.
Woah, what a great box! I’m loving being back with boxycharm. What do you think of last month’s box?
