It’s Boxy time again! This month’s Boxycharm is definitely a favorite. So far, I’m enjoying all of the products I received! It was a pretty good box as far as value too, it was valued at $134.
And without further ado, the products!
Pur Cosmetics The Midnight Masquerade Face and Eye palette ($38)
Overall I’m pretty impressed with this palette. It has 6 eyeshadows, 2 blush shades, a highlight, and a bronzer. There’s one matte shadow and 5 shimmers. They’re a very interesting range of colors too. The shadows are all pretty pigmented except the one that’s basically silver glitter. Super buttery as well! The bronzer is shimmery but looks great and natural on the skin. It’s not super orangey either. The highlight is super pretty on the skin, not as blinding as some I’ve tried but not invisible either. One of the blush shades is a super pretty pink-coral shade that looks great on my skin. The other is a dark plum color that I’m more thinking would work as an eyeshadow on me. The packaging is absolutely gorgeous too, it’s one of my favorite parts of the entire palette! Very pretty in design and very luxurious.
IT Cosmetics Superhero Mascara ($24)
The packaging on this is super bulky, but overall I’m moderately impressed with this mascara. It’s not super clumpy or anything, and the wand is great for both upper and lower lashes. I will say it’s not great for helping with or holding curl. Which, since that’s my major issue, leads me to say that while it’s a nice mascara, I probably wouldn’t repurchase it at that price point since it doesn’t help with my primary issue. I think if you didn’t have issues with lashes that don’t curl, it would be a great mascara though!
Farmacy Beauty Green Clean Makeup Remover ($22)
When I first saw this I was very leery of it. The product smells very herby overall. It has the consistency of a tube of chapstick too, but you kind of scoop it out and rub it all over your skin dry. It’s a very strange product, but the makeup just melts off. You can rinse it off with warm water and then do the rest of your skincare as you usually would. I like it a lot more than I thought I would!
Dermovia Lace a Peel Black Bamboo Charcoal Peel ($30)
Just looking at this product it seems slightly strange. I checked on the reviews online and I think I’m going to save this for a giveaway. The peel has very specific instructions, and it involves peel paste on the nose. I have an infected nose piercing, which I don’t think I should mix with a face peel. So we’re going to pass on this.
Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in Lolita ($20)
I’ve wanted to try this lipstick for a long time because I’ve heard good things. Overall it’s a pretty good lipstick! It’s not the absolute best I’ve ever tried, but it stays on well while drinking and such. Eating will cause transfer and require reapplication, but it’s a fairly good lipstick. I think if I hadn’t found a significantly cheaper formula, this would be a go-to for me! And the color is great too. A mauve-brown-pink sort of color that is super great for fall!
