Build a Makeup Bag pt. 3 – Details

Last Monday we put together another portion of the makeup bag, the contour products. That portion came in at $20.92-$34.82, bringing our total up to $53.66-$74.55. This cost depends on what products and brushes you chose overall. So far we’ve done basic face products and contouring products.

Today’s post is about details! Today we’ll be looking at mascaras, eyeliners, and basic lip sticks to really level up your look. As far as eyeliners, there will be a couple different options including color and type. There will be a couple of basic lipsticks as well.

Mascara

L’Oreal Voluminous Lash Paradise – $7.49

This is a more expensive drugstore mascara, but it’s super popular. I had decent luck with it. It’s especially good for people with lashes that curl but don’t handle heavy mascaras well. It doesn’t really help add curl, but it’s good for length and volume.

Essence The False Lashes Mascara – $4.99

A cheaper option is literally ANY of the Essence Mascaras. They’re comparable to high end mascaras I’ve tried, but they’re only $5 basically at Ulta. These are a great budget option!

Eyeliner

Essence Superfine Waterproof Eyeliner Pen – $2.99

I’ve not used this eyeliner, but it looks like a good one. It comes only in black, unfortunately. For those who prefer pen liners, this is a great budget option.

Physicians Formula 2-in1 Lash Boosting Serum and Eyeliner – $8.79

This is actually my holy grail eyeliner. I prefer this over any high end liner that I’ve tried, and will happily repurchase when I run out. It’s a dark black liner that stays on super well.

Essence Long Lasting Eye Pencil – $2.49

This one seems like a good budget option for those who prefer pencil liners. This one comes in black, brown, and turquoise. Essence has always been a great brand for the price, this isn’t an exception.

Lipsticks

Essence Ultra Last Instant Color Lipstick – $4.99

Again with Essence. This seems like a good budget liquid lipstick in general. I haven’t tried it personally as of yet but it seems like a good option. There is a large color selection. Best bet for something like this would either be a very simple rosy nude or a bright red for special occasions.

Essence Matt Matt Lipgloss – $1.99

This looks like a great inexpensive lip gloss for when you don’t want to do much. It comes in several colors so you can find the one that works best for you!!

Maybelline Superstay Matte Ink – $7.99

Favorite matte lipstick formula ever. This lipstick literally won’t move. There are a lot of great nude shades (Dreamer is my favorite) and great statement colors (Voyager is my favorite here).

Okay so our total for this post is $9.47- $24.27. That’s a huge range! But there is a great assortment of products for different budgets here. So that brings our total to $63.13 – $98.82. We’re almost done! We only have one week left!

Part 1 – Face and Base
