Whether you’ve been crying, have bad allergies, or just chronically have bags under your eyes, it can be frustrating to try to figure out the best remedies. Here are some suggestions on how to reduce those under eye bags!
Use cool objects such as a spoon, chilled, damp teabags, cucumber slices, or even a chilled facial roller under the eyes. This will help reduce any inflammation that may be occurring to cause the bags. Additionally, components in tea and cucumber can help reduce the swelling further than just a cold object.
One of the many potential causes for under eye bags is excess consumption of salt. Drinking more water can help offset this issue. Now if your bags are caused by genetics or anything else, drinking water won’t help directly (but it’s great for your skin!)
Witch hazel, a common astringent used for toning and treating acne, is great for reducing inflammation around your eyes. Simply saturate a cotton pad and hold on closed eyes for around 5-10 minutes.
Find an Eye Cream
Some eye creams do a fairly decent job of helping with under eye bags. One I highly recommend is the Dr. Brandt No More Baggage Needles No More Eye De-Puffing gel! It is an orange formula, but once you rub it in a little bit, the color helps camouflage the dark circles that tend to come with under eye bags.
