And we have a second makeup haul for the end of June! I’m really excited about this one, I got a chance to grab some great new products to try for you guys.
Maybelline Lifter Gloss in Crystal
After getting the first lifter gloss, I got extremely excited and got myself another of the lifter glosses. This one looks like bronze glitter in the packaging, but on it’s a clear gloss with a bronzy reflect.
Wet N Wild Tinted Hydrator in Fair
This is my new favorite foundation! It’s a very easy product to put on in the mornings and I can dress it up or down depending on my needs. All of my concealers work well with it, and it just in general looks great.
I do wish the shade range was better, the lightest shade is probably a little dark for me, especially once it gets into winter and my skin lightens up a shade or so. I may be able to work better with a different shade, but overall this product is nice.
When I use this product, I typically put a primer underneath, spot conceal on top, and then put a powder on for a little more coverage. The combination evens out my skintone and gives me a gorgeous smoothness. And it’s only $5 to boot! It’s the cheapest product of its kind that works this well.
The only thing to watch is that if you have oily skin, this won’t work very well for you. On my normal skin, this looks best when mattefied a bit with a powder. On its own it looks sweaty and greasy.
Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Concealer in Cool Ivory
Overall, this is a great product. It’s medium-full coverage, and actually covers my dark circles. It blends in seamlessly, and looks great under my eyes. The applicator works well for getting the product on, but I don’t use it to blend. I use a brush or sponge. Just a good, solid concealer! It doesn’t unseat the elf Hydrating Camo Concealer as my favorite but it’s a good alternate option.
I do wish I’d gotten a darker shade. Cool Ivory would be a stretch for me in the winter time and this year I actually have a tan.
Wet N Wild Color Icon 5 Pan Palettes in Walking on Eggshells, Petalette, and Sundaze
I bought one of these and loved it so much that I bought two more. These are quick palettes with simple, complementary color stories. If you stay within one palette, it’s hard to create a combination that doesn’t work together. The mixture of matte, shimmer, and glitter gives you plenty of options of how intricate of a look you want.
The shadow is pigmented and blends easily, and the glittery/shimmery shades look stunning on the lid (though they do require an eyeshadow primer). And the best part? They’re less than $3 each.
Walking on Eggshells is a neutral palette with a soft pink and some assorted brown and offwhite shades. Petalette is a purple/pink assortment. Sundaze is a red/orange/gold palette that has absolutely gorgeous and highly saturated red/orange shades.
That’s all for this haul! What do you think? Have you tried any of these products before? Let me know in the comments!
