Thanks to quite a few fun shopping trips early this month, I have all sorts of great makeup to try!
Seprofe Chill Nudes Palette
I was very kindly sent this palette to review, and it was really nice! In general, the colors are a mix of pinks and browns, and a good mix of warm and cool. The shimmers are very pigmented and sit nicely on the lid.
The only thing I’d watch for is that the matte shades aren’t as pigmented as I’d personally prefer. They’re great for someone who is still learning though, and blend well!
Juvia’s Place I Am Magic Velvety Matte Foundation in Maricao
Originally, I thought this was on sale when I bought it. I’d been wanting to try Juvia’s Place products for a while, so I thought it was a good opportunity. It didn’t end up being on sale, but I ended up loving the product!
This matte, full coverage foundation actually looks like skin but completely covers blemishes and other discoloration on the skin. It’s such a flawless, almost airbrushed finish if you don’t use too much. The tube seems small until you realize how little you actually need.
It even works for normal-dry skin without drying out! Maricao is the perfect shade for me too.
Morphe 35C Everyday Chic Eyeshadow Palette
I’ve found that this palette is probably one of Morphe’s most balanced palettes. It’s a great range of nudes, pinks, purples, and even a section of emerald greens.
I didn’t feel like any of the shades in this palette were filler, and there was very little duplication in shades (which is a common issue in the 35 pan palettes).
One of the most unique things about this palette is the pressed glitter in the center, which performs well. I’ve found that some of the lighter shimmer shades perform a bit more like toppers, but with some glitter glue underneath they have more pigment.
The best description I can come up with is that this is the perfect everyday palette, and it’s great for someone who is either rebuilding their collection, or wants a single, one-and-done palette for any kind of look they’d need.
Wet N Wild Megalast Incognito Concealer in Light Beige
Overall, this was underwhelming. I was expecting something like the elf Camo concealer or the Tarte Shape Tape. This wasn’t anywhere nearly as full coverage, and it gets very crepey under my eyes.
If you need a more medium coverage concealer, this would work well. This color is good for me, though there are only a few shades right now. In general, I wasn’t super impressed by this.
Maybelline FitMe Pressed Powder in Porcelain
After all the good things I heard about this, I was excited to try it! In general, it’s a decent powder. It’s got decent coverage looks nice with light and medium coverage foundations.
However, it’s a little bit powderier than I expected. If you aren’t very light handed with it, you’ll use way too much. It’s a bit trickier to use than my Rimmel Stay Matte powder.
Physician’s Formula Rose All Day Highlighter in Freshly Picked
Full disclosure, I’ve wanted this highlighter since before it came out. When it was given to me, I was overjoyed! First off, the rose stamped in the highlighter is stunning.
The actual product is a gorgeous, blinding glow, and the shade looks great on me. It’s a light champagne shade with a little bit of pink in it.
The only thing I don’t love is that there’s a slight overspray on the product itself. I haven’t seen it show up on my face, but it’s just stunning aside from that.
The Creme Shop Liquid Lipstick in Your Majesty
I was pleasantly surprised by this lipstick! It’s a vivid royal purple shade, and somehow worked well with my very pale complexion. It’s highly pigmented, and is extremely long wearing. It’s not uncomfortable to wear either. Definitely matte, but a comfortable matte! I definitely recommend the formula if you want a long wearing lip color.
The Creme Shop Silky Satin Lipstick in Creme De La Creme
This is overall a good lipstick. It’s not outstanding in terms of wear time or anything, but it’s pretty good for the price. The color is a very light nude shade. I’d say this formula would best serve nudes and neutrals.
The Creme Shop Velvety Matte Lipstick in Girl’s Night Out
Unfortunately, this one wasn’t what I expected it to be. The packaging suggested that this shade was a deep rose shade, something like Huda’s Trophy wife. Instead, it was a very pinky red shade.
Otherwise, the formula was decent. It’s a very matte formula, but the shade stains the lips slightly so it wears off better. I didn’t see any feathering or bleeding while I wore it either. So it’s not super
So that’s that! Some of my new makeup products! Have you tried any of these before? What did you think? Let me know in the comments!
