October 2020 New Skincare Reviews

I ran out of quite a bit of skincare during the month of October, so I grabbed a few things from Walmart to try. I got some fairly decent skincare out of this, including a new favorite product!

elf Cosmetics SuperTone Toner

This is not a toner for normal-dry skin whatsoever. It’s okay for occasional use, but not for twice daily or even once daily use. The longer I used it, the worse it got.

It smells like straight lemon juice, and definitely contains those brightening acids it advertises. Overall, it’s not a bad toner, it’s just not for skin that leans dry.

Bliss Foaming 2-in-1 Cleanser & Exfoliator

This is a fairly decent cleanser overall, and it’s really mild on the skin. But there are some things about it that are extremely weird.

First of all, the smell. It’s like a weird combination between peanuts and dirt. It’s something that I’d be willing to overlook if it was an exceptional product, it’s just not. Secondly, the beads are super weird feeling on the skin.

It’s not terrible, I’ll definitely finish it, I just probably won’t purchase it again.

elf Cosmetics Illuminating Eye Cream

For hydration, this is a great eye cream. If you have mild-moderate dark circles or a lot of dryness and creping under your eyes, this is also a great eye cream. You get a lot given what you pay for.

The only thing is that this hasn’t put any kind of dent in the dark circles I have under my eyes. If it has, it’s almost impossible to see. I probably won’t get it again, but it’s a really great product for the price.

Bliss Drench and Quench Moisturizer

This is, surprisingly enough, my new ride or die moisturizer. It’s lightweight enough to not make my skin greasy, but it’s moisturizing enough to keep my skin from drying out unnecessarily.

When you apply it, it melts down from a thin gel-cream to almost straight water. It immediately sinks into the skin leaving it comfortable and moisturized.

Overall, this was a fairly decent selection of products that I found. Trying drugstore products are always worthwhile, even if they don’t work out well.

Have you tried any of these products? What did you think?
