Thank you to Influenster for sending me two shades of this gorgeous lipstick to try and review!
I never thought a $30 lipstick would be worth it, but I’ve never been so glad to be wrong. This is a gorgeous lipstick that I fully plan on purchasing more shades of as the opportunity arises.
The two shades I received are Divine Nude and Wild Orchid. Divine nude is a mauvy-pink toned nude lipstick, but a much lighter variation than most of my other mauvy-pinks. Wild Orchid is a similar shade to Huda Beauty’s Trophy Wife… a shade I loved but mine is out of date and not performing properly anymore because of it. It’s a touch cooler than Trophy Wife, but still great for the same range of looks.
As far as formula is concerned, it’s one of the best matte formulas I’ve seen in a long time. It dries down to a soft, powdery looking matte. But it’s lightweight and doesn’t dry out my lips badly – especially if you prep with a balm or mask of some kind. The way I do it, I use my Bite Beauty Agave Lip Mask before I start my makeup, and let it sink in while I put the rest of my face together. I put my lipstick on near the end of my routine.
On top of all of that, it doesn’t smudge on a mask or while eating. Mine stayed on until after the second meal I had while wearing it!
Even the bright pink of Wild Orchid wears down gracefully without looking like badly applied lip liner, and there’s no feathering whatsoever. It’s extremely well pigmented, and you need the bare minimum of product to get full color. Hence why $30 is a worthwhile price tag- it lasts quite a while.
Have you ever tried this lipstick before? What do you think? Let me know in the comments!
Again, thanks to the Influenster and Pat McGrath teams for sending me these gorgeous lippies to try!
