Spring and Summer Empties 2020

It looks like I went through a ton of makeup this time around! I have some solid products, some not so much. I’m surprised at how much I went through given that I couldn’t even leave the house, but it is six months worth of empty products.

As you guys probably know, I do try to finish even products I don’t like unless I legitimately cannot make them work. So you guys do miss some of the more epic failures that I find.

Without further ado, here are my empties for Spring and Summer of 2020

Benefit Bad Gal Bang Mascara

Price: $25
Repurchase: Probably, eventually
Details: This mascara is one of my very favorites! The only things that stop me from buying a new one immediately are the price tag, and the fact that I’m still working through about 5 open mascaras. If I was to spend money on a high end mascara it would almost definitely be this one.

Makeup Revolution Star Primer

Price: $15
Repurchase: Yes!
Details: This is the perfect primer for the days that I don’t want a pore filling primer. It’s super comfortable, and it’s got a clean licorice smell. It keeps my makeup on, and keeps my skin moisturized!

Physician’s Formula Perfect Matcha 3-in-1 Cleansing Balm

Price: $13.49
Repurchase: Not now
Details: So I love the cleansing balms, but I’ve discovered the joy that is makeup wipes so I’ll be sticking with those for the sake of convenience. However, this is a really great cleansing balm reminiscent of one from Farmacy but half the price.

Mirabella Eyeshadow Primer

Price: $20
Repurchase: No
Details: This is a really solid eyeshadow primer, but I’ve found cheaper ones that work as well or better. It was one of my first tinted eyeshadow primers, which really made a difference in my makeup looks.

Fresh Soy Cleanser

Price: $38
Repurchase: No
Details: This cleanser was nice, but it’s not worth the price tag. I’ve found drugstore-priced products that work just as well. If I hadn’t received it in a subscription box I probably would have been disappointed.

Glow Recipe Watermelon Glow Pore Tight Toner

Price: $34
Repurchase: No
Details: Overall, this is a really nice toner. I just don’t think it is worth the price when I can find others that work just as well or better for less.

Glow Recipe Banana Souffle Moisture Cream

Price: $39
Repurchase: Probably Not
Details: While I definitely really enjoyed this product, it’s extremely expensive. And with the smell it’s definitely not worth that much.

Price: $25
Repurchase: Unlikely
Details: I would have said I’m definitely not repurchasing this, but I’ve repurchased beautyblenders a couple of times without planning to do so.

The Ritual of Sakura Shower Gel

Price: $9.50
Repurchase: Absolutely not
Details: This came in a subscription box but it’s just weird. It doesn’t work well as a shower gel (though it makes a decent shaving cream). The aerosol can is extremely odd for shower gel, and you lose a lot of product. You don’t get much for what you’re paying.

Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara

Price: $26
Repurchase: No
Details: This mascara was a bit chunkier than I like. Even new, it was very clumpy and got everywhere. Not so bad I couldn’t finish, but it worked better to add volume on top of a curling/lengthening mascara.

Touch in Sol No Poreblem Primer

Price: $18
Repurchase: No
Details: Overall, while not a bad primer, this isn’t my favorite pore filling primer. It’s definitely a decent product and is worth trying, but not something I’d buy again.

There we have it, my Summer and Spring 2020 Empties! I can’t wait to see what Fall brings. What was your favorite empty product from this list? Have you tried any before?
