Yes Oh Yas August 2019

Subscription box time! I love my yes oh yas box. This month I initially thought wasn’t going to be great but ultimately this has ended up being a really fantastic box. Yes Oh Yas is a monthly box where you get 3-7 full sized products for $14.99.

Update: Yes Oh Yas has been dissolved as of December 2019

Mavie Cosmetics Take Me to Los Angeles Palette

This palette was actually a lot better than I expected. I wasn’t really as interested in the color scheme as I have been for other recent palettes. But there are some really beautiful shades in this palette, and the formula is stellar. I created a couple of beautiful looks with it. The shades are soft and extremely blendable. Overall a great palette, I wanna grab a couple more from this brand.

Aesthetica B13 Brush

This is the BEST brow brush I’ve ever tried. Hands down. The brush portion is fine enough for me to get a beautiful line and hairlike strokes. The spoolie end is nice for brushing out my brows and tidying up my brow pomade. I started using this brush and haven’t looked back!

Mirabella Eyeshadow Primer

Eyeshadow primers are a dime a dozen, but this one definitely stands out a bit. It’s nicely sticky, but it doesn’t make the shadows go patchy. The shadows glide on like butter and stay on forever! The only criticism I have about it is that the product smells very strong. It’s a major chemical smell. Don’t love that, but it doesn’t really bother me since it doesn’t stick around.

Pure Cosmetics Silicone Blender

I wasn’t excited about this at all. I’ve used a silicone blender before and I hated it! But this one is actually a lot nicer. The shape is kind of a vague blob, but it’s great for blending out foundation. I get a light – medium coverage finish with this, which is a nice option to have. Not my favorite method of foundation application, but overall better than expected.

Zatik Relieve Eyebright and Pomegranate Serum

As far as a skincare product, this is really nice. It sinks quickly into the skin, leaving a sticky surface that sinks in more slowly. I do think it’s hydrating for my normal-dry skin, which is good. I don’t love the smell though, it smells like dirt in my opinion. That could be the herbs in it, but I’m still not a fan.

This was a great box! I’m super pleased with these products, and I’m enjoying trying out new brands with this subscription.
